On Wednesday 14th December our A-Level Accountancy students were invited to a visit to one of the Big 4 Accountancy Firms, at More Place, London.
We were met by employees of the E&Y, who engaged them in workshop activities to develop their skills and identify their 'Key Strengths'. We also looked at what Ernst & Young do, consisting of Assurance, Tax, Transactions and Advisory. We were also given a tour of the buildin
g, and met the guest speakers and other employees within different departments at lunch. After lunch we were introduced to Ernst & Young's Fast Track Programme, giving information about how our students could join the firm, what qualifications would be required, and the route onto their combined Chartered Accountancy programme, combining a degree level qualification alongside work placements.
We all found the experience very informative and insightful. All students enjoyed the visit and represented our school impeccably. Ernst & Young were so impressed by our students that they were keen to maintain links with the school and it's accountancy programme.
