House Captains meet with Ms Cozens

The Junior Leadership Team

All House Captains meet each half term with the Headteacher for breakfast to discuss and review the minutes from the last terms rotation of meetings. This time is used for the students to share the views and opinions that they have gathered directly with the Headteacher. From this meeting House captains are able to also feedback information to the Houses about the up and coming events, changes and developments within the school community.

The Headteacher Zoe Cozens realises the power of student voice and understands how student voice can impact on the future and progress of the school community.

“The JLT meetings enable us to realise the leadership potential of the learners within our care. The meetings provide me with the opportunity to meet directly with the young leaders within the school and to discuss the issues that are important to them. This time is both valuable and informative and has already been utilised to support changes made within and across our school community”

We asked the house captains about their thought for the JLT and these were some of the responses received.

“I think meeting with the head is a brilliant idea. She takes into consideration all of your issues that have been discussed and she always seems to be very positive about the things that we bring to the meetings.”

( Jordan Lacrette House Captain for Infinity House)

“ I is a great opportunity to talk to Ms Cozens she is really approachable and really listens our issues, and we feel that we are really making a contribution to the school”

(Arjun Hallan House Captain for Pi House)
