Heathcote is a Healthy School, believing in linking good health, behaviour and achievement through a whole school approach.

As part of this, we are committed to providing a healthy balanced diet. Our menus are popular, varied and nourishing; each one is checked by a nutritionalist. These are the menus currently rotating on a tri-weekly basis, please use the links below to view the current menus:

Due to new Government guidelines, all meals containing any of the fourteen main allergens are identified at the serving counters. We use these key symbols to identify allergens in each meal.

Meal labels at the point-of-sale state the meal on offer and any allergens that the meal contains. They also clearly identify Vegetarian and Halal Options. Please see the links below for examples of menu labels.

All cakes offered for sale contain Gluten (wheat), Eggs and Milk while Flapjacks contain Sulphur Dioxide. Students can ask members of the catering team if they are unsure of whether a meal contains allergens. This sign is displayed in the dining hall, Sixth Form cafeteria and one the Allergen display boards.

Sixth Form

Our Sixth Form benefits from a cafeteria that is open from 10.00 am until 2.00pm, where students can purchase hot and cold beverages and a range of snacks. Hot meals can also be pre-ordered via the cafeteria staff.

Packed Lunches

Despite the quality of the school meals, some parent/carers choose to send a packed lunch for their student's lunch. If you do so, we ask that you follow the information on packed lunches advice from the School Food Trust.

Free School Meals

Free school meals are now administered by the Benefits Service, making it simpler to apply. Information can be found on the Waltham Forest Website.
