Our attractive uniform is designed to promote a positive attitude and good behaviour. It is smart yet practical, allowing students to work and play comfortably. We expect our students to wear their uniform with pride and to remember that they represent Heathcote when they are wearing it.
Full details of the uniform are clearly set out in the Student Planner and are shown below
- Black Blazer with school badge
- Plain white collared shirt (not a polo shirt)
- Plain black trousers (not denim). Plain black tights.
- Black kilted skirt with buckle to be purchased from approved suppliers Henry Taylor (Outfitters) Limited 119/121 Hoe Street Walthamstow London E17 4RX
- School tie
- Black low heeled or flat shoes (not training shoes or coloured shoe laces).
A black v-neck jumper may be worn under the blazer in colder weather. (The jumper is not to be worn without the blazer).
The school tie and badge are available at the school office.
For PE the uniform comprises:
Girls:
- Navy PE skirt or shorts
- Plain white top
- White short socks
- Training shoes
- Navy tracksuit
Boys:
- Navy shorts
- Plain white top
- White short socks and white long socks
- Training shoes and football boots
- Navy tracksuit
Headwear is not permitted except for religious observance. (This should be plain black, white or Heathcote blue)
Long socks and patterned tights and socks are not permitted.
Make-up is not encouraged and students wearing make-up may be required to remove it. Novel hair designs such as colouring and commercial symbols cut into hair are not appropriate for school and are not allowed. Additional ornamentation is prohibited.
Besides small studs for pierced ears and a wristwatch, jewellery is not permitted.
Mobile phones are also not permitted at Heathcote School.
