Heathcote School is an 11 – 18 School that has a new Headteacher and a new vision.  The school is on a rapid journey of improvement ensuring the ‘good’ status (Ofsted 2014/2018) is built on and for the school to become ‘outstanding’ in all areas. We are looking for a passionate and talented Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to teach across the ability range to GCSE and A Level from September 2019.  You will be working with and supported by an experienced team of outstanding teachers and leaders.  The languages currently taught are French and Spanish.  The ability to teach both Languages would be an advantage.  The Modern Foreign Languages department is very strong and keen with a Head of Department who is determined to ensure that every child benefits from learning a language at KS3, KS4 but also KS5. If you want to be part of a team where you will help make a lasting impact on your students, rapidly accelerate their progress and immerse them in the culture of the language that they have chosen, come and join us. We welcome applications from newly qualified or experienced teachers.  As an NQT or Beginner Teacher at Heathcote School, you will be supported by experienced colleagues on a range of issues relating to planning, teaching and assessing with a dedicated mentor and a skills development programme that will provide you with the experience required to be a successful practitioner in education. 

 

You will be working with and supported by an experienced team of strong teachers and leaders.  The MFL department has many strengths and staff who work collaboratively and are fully supportive of all stakeholders.  The successful candidate will be expected to continue to develop school productions and performances within the school and the local community.

We are looking for an ambitious candidate to continue the rapid development of the History department ensuring outstanding outcomes for our pupils whatever their background. Current GCSE and A Level results (ALPS 2) are on the up and more pupils than ever are being challenged to follow the E Bacc route where appropriate. The right leadership will create sustainable opportunities for the development of learning and teaching enabling staff, at all levels of their careers, and pupils to thrive.  This is in line with the school vision of Encourage, Challenge, Succeed.
