Sixth Form Applications

When choosing your programme of study, you should consider suitable combinations of courses. You will be choosing 3 or 4 subjects to study at A’ Level or BTEC level 3 and your choices can be exclusively A’ Level or BTEC, or a combination of the 2 courses, depending on your subject preferences and whether you achieve the entry criteria for each course. Pupils are also welcome to apply to study our Level 2 City & Guilds Construction. For further details on courses and entry requirements, please see the Sixth Form prospectus.

There are some combinations of subjects which are preferred or required by universities as enrolment criteria for degree courses. example of this are:

  • Chemistry, Biology (required) and Maths to study Medicine or Veterinary Science
  • Physics and Mathematics required for Engineering courses. Chemistry will also be required for Chemical Engineering course.
  • Mathematics is usually specified plus one additional Science for Architecture course

Please review this prior to selecting your course of study. However, many pupils may not be certain of the career pathway and, in this case, choose subjects that you are good at, that you enjoy and that will provide you with a broad range of knowledge and skills.

Applications will be open shortly!
