European Languages Week enjoyed by all at Heathcote

The European Week of Languages at Heathcote School was once again a triumph last week, with the celebration of the European Day of Languages on the 26th of September.

We played European music from a different country in the canteen at breaktime and lunchtime each day.

We also provided tutors with activities for each day - sign languages included - together with a Quiz Competition for pupils in Year 7 and Year 8. The winners will be announced next week.

We are happy to say that everyone enjoyed the event and joined in to make it such a success, it was nice to bring the whole school together by being proud of our diversity!

We would like to thank the new catering team in the canteen as well as Garry (from the Music department)…and especially the staff who dressed up that week to win the hamper, we will reveal who was the lucky recipient later!
