Heathcote has planted over 160 new trees and bushes in our grounds. Mr Gallacher puts his gardening gloves on...

Our 8.6 and 9.6 classes have been campaigning in Geography to raise awareness for climate change and protecting our planet. In response to this, the school has worked alongside the Woodland Trust to plant over 100 trees and 60 bushes into the grounds of Heathcote, further enhancing our already lushly-planted campus.

Unfortunately with the school closed due to the Covid-19 outbreak, our pupils could not assist with the planting but they will see the fruits of their efforts on their return. In the meantime, huge thanks to Assistant Head Mr Gallacher and Site Services Officer Mr Cox, plus all those other staff who helped out in the lovely early-spring sunshine. Hopefully our new plants will be robust and healthy - as will we! - when we all return...
