Heathcote Visits Big Creative Education Campus

Seventeen of our pupils had the pleasure of visiting the brand new Big Creative Education Campus, Clifton Road, Walthamstow on June 18th. We were given a tour of the brand new 20million pound state of the art building, we met the staff, and we found out all about the courses Big Creative has to offer to pupils at the post-16 stage of their education. Big Creative's Principal, Sacha Corcoran MBE, welcomed us all into the theatre space and talked about the opportunities that both Big Creative and the creative world has to offer young people in this ever growing and developing industry.

After sampling the delicious homestyle food, all lovingly cooked by the fantastic chef, pupils were invited to try out some fantastic workshops in Games Design, Music Performance, Theatrical Media & Make up and Music Production.

Myself and Ms Page were very impressed at our pupils' creative talents - and we even got to hear their compositions and live performances.

All pupils behaved impeccably all day, despite the long wet and humid bus journey and I was immensely proud to take them along to represent Heathcote as one of the first schools to visit the new building.
