Forest Futures STEM Event

We have 6 places available for pupils in Year 12 or 13 who are interested in attending a STEM event to demonstrate their wider interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

This will take place at Forest School on 20/01/2018 and the main aim is to give you hands on experience of what working in these different fields might be like and also opportunities to meet Old Foresters who work in these areas. If you attend, you should come away with a clear idea of what work in these areas would entail and what qualifications you would need to consider in order to pursue them.

It will host:

  • Prof. Steve Evans, Director of Research in Industrial Sustainability, IfM, University of Cambridge https://www.ifm.eng.cam.ac.uk/people/se321/
  • Dr Jonathan Symonds, STEM Ambassador and Physicist and Managing Director of Cambustion https://www.cambustion.com/about
