Heathcote Sixth Form hosts Step Into STEM presentation

Vanessa Sanyauke, the CEO of Girls Talk London, delivered a presentation of the Step into STEM mentoring and work experience programme to a group of Heathcote’s Year 12 girls. The programme is sponsored by BT, Ericsson, O2 and Vodafone and it has been extremely successful in helping girls into STEM careers, including careers in technology. It will last for seven months (starting from April) and involve the pairing up of successful applicants with mentors working in these companies. 

The promotional video exhibited during the event included a contribution from a Heathcote alumni, Megan Payne, who is currently pursuing a career in STEM.
