Heathcote Year 12 Students Visit IBM Headquarters in London

Some of our Year 12 students enjoyed a fascinating visit to IBM's HQ in London at the beginning of July. Ms Burnett tells us about it!

Seven of our Y12 students visited the IBM Headquarters on London’s sunny South Bank yesterday. Speakers from around the business shared their experiences and gave valuable information about the exciting apprenticeship and graduate opportunities on offer at IBM, which we found very useful indeed. We also enjoyed a selection of talks about the latest developments in technology including AI (Artificial Intelligence), The Cloud, Cyber Security and more. Afterwards, our students even had the chance to get interactive and create a ‘Chatbot’! 

We all agreed that the visit gave us a real insight into the fascinating world of IBM, and the many opportunities available to our students in the fast moving world of technology and business...
